24 hours later!

And the 12 WW2 Brits are painted. Enjoyed doing them and they took very little time really. As I have more to do a quick record of main uniform colour is in order:  Flat Earth (a light brown), washed with Sepia Wash, highlighted with 50/50 Flat Earth/Japanese uniform. (All Vallejo). Satin varnished (will probably change to Matt although the satin loses it's sheen with handling I find). 10 man rifle section including Bren gunner and NCO with Sten, plus a 2 man PIAT team. I'll certainly paint the rest of what I have here (another 15-18 figures), but still not sure if this will become a full blown project or just stick to commission painting for a while.

This week it's back to finishing off John's last few figures and Gerry's 6mm cavalry. John tells me the next box will contain some Ottomans, so something fresh as I have never painted these before.

  2. I've had my eye on those AB figures for a long time but have resisted. Your painting as always is superb!

    1. They are beautiful sculpts/castings Ian. My only concern is the cost per figure at £1.30, more than most 28mm metals! Also the packaging means you would have to buy more than required, command figures for example come in packs of 6 when maybe only 3 are needed. So, lovely figures but not quite doing it for me at the moment,

  3. That was scarily quick - I have achieved far less over the weekend so far.
