The men of Barrells and Pulteneys Regiments of Foot start the long march from Kent up to Forfar today to be ready for battle tomorrow afternoon! They will join the 5 Government units already painted by Marcus to face off against hordes of hairy Scots in a practice game of Black Powder Wednesday afternoon. We are going with Royal Mail Special Delivery because it guarantees next day delivery unlike the usual Tracked 24 service which does not! I'll ask Marcus for some photos and if OK post them here next post.
Thanks again to Old John for his help with flags, Marcus has now ordered from the two links below.

Thank you Iain. The BIG battalions are what makes Epic so impressive I think.

These are my favourite Epic that you have worked on so far …… but the hardest Imagine!
ReplyDeleteHi Norm. To be honest I am enjoying painting these and the new visor is certainly helping a LOT to get accurate brush strokes. I find I can paint two strips in two hours, a straight session with a couple of tea breaks! That's my mornings work, enough for me. There is also the time spent basing but I have such a tried and trusted method now with these Epics that it is not over challenging at all. I'm pleased how they are turning out, they look OK for the earlier 1745 period I think, especially when viewed at a foot or so distance. \i have more units to paint over next couple of months :)

A very sharp pair of units. Glad to hear the visor is helping. Looking forward to future additions.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. Yes, the visor is proving useful :)
