Started in 2010 as a therapy for my Dysthymia. I just can't stop painting model soldiers, been doing it since I was 15!
Just require varnishing now but about done. Last of the previous box for Old John.
First, the Hinchliffe Winged Hussar.
Nice job, I am guessing that I would have put too much white on the winged hussar’s feathers - those look bang on.
Thanks Norm. It was a pleasure painting such an iconic old sculpt as the winged hussar, I remember that Bill Brewer of the Rye Stamp and Hobby shop had a unit of them back in the late Seventies which I think got featured in Wargames Illustrated?
A cracking job on the Poles, the winged Hussar looks first class, well done Lee.
Cheers Graham. I actually dotted in the brown patches on the skin with orange which improved them. It was Rob's suggestion although he used a black pen to add the circles on his.
WOW, OMG, what fantastic, superb, outstanding, excellent painting, you have really done an amazing job on my figures, very many thanks so much appreciatedcheers Old John
I'm glad you are happy John as that's what it's all about.
Those look absolutely fantastic. What a joy to watch this collection come together!
Thank you David. I'm going to put together a page featuring all of Old John's Ottomans etc. Many of them are from the collection of the late Eric Knowles and of great vintage. I am merely adding to them and it's a pleasure to do so.
