Postie bought me this little surprise today (see my previous posts). At least the contents are all intact. No word on the £14.00 postage refund but I'm relieved to have it back as it contains £400 worth of painted figures that I thought was lost! Finishing off Noels current order and then the entire batch will be heading off again.
A big relief, I am sure but very strange how it was rejected by customs.
ReplyDeleteNo idea why Chris! Same details and labelling as all the previous packages to the same address. I was told by the lady in the Post Office that Irish Customs are returning a very high level of packages .

A relief to get it back but something of a mystery all the same!

I wonder if it is to do with the manufacturing regulations recently introduced by the EU. Essentially you have to have an agent within the EU who can be contacted for product safety details. Perhaps Warlord(?) have one and you can attach the details to the package.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'll look into this. I did fill out out the usual customs form and described them as 'painted plastic model soldiers'. I'm told that a lot of returns a re being made by Irish Customs.
