Poles!

Just require varnishing now but about done. Last of the previous box for Old John.


First, the Hinchliffe Winged Hussar.

  1. Nice job, I am guessing that I would have put too much white on the winged hussar’s feathers - those look bang on.

    1. Thanks Norm. It was a pleasure painting such an iconic old sculpt as the winged hussar, I remember that Bill Brewer of the Rye Stamp and Hobby shop had a unit of them back in the late Seventies which I think got featured in Wargames Illustrated?

    1. Cheers Graham. I actually dotted in the brown patches on the skin with orange which improved them. It was Rob's suggestion although he used a black pen to add the circles on his.

    1. Thank you David. I'm going to put together a page featuring all of Old John's Ottomans etc. Many of them are from the collection of the late Eric Knowles and of great vintage. I am merely adding to them and it's a pleasure to do so.
