Damn those French!
Two latest battalions painted for Mark, Peninsular War Young Guard 18mm AB figures. The low relief brewery building intended for a future possible Yaldbury extension!
A nice way to combine the output from your model railway and figure painting. I notice the cabinettewars blog doesn't appear in your list of related blogs - did you ever see your old ECW collection fighting Adwalton Moor and Langport? Links to the AARs of the games: https://cabinettewars.blogspot.com/2025/04/battle-of-adwalton-moor.html https://cabinettewars.blogspot.com/2025/05/battle-of-langport-1645-aar.html
Cheers Rob and thank you for the inks, what fantastic photos of the Hinchliffes! I ill indeed add the blog to my list but may I share these two links on the FB 17th Century wargaming group I belong to please? no details, just a wider audience of your beautiful collection in action, I'd love to see the reaction. All the best, Lee
Thanks Ian, I do indeed have the Coldstream Guards in my - or rather Mark's - lead pile! Just seem your chaps and they are most inspiring :) Cheers, Lee.
Thank you JBM :) They are The Guard you know, men of iron discipline. But then who can resist a pint of Yaldburys Old Bodgers Bitter? It's the finest. Hope you are keeping well there. Cheers Lee.

DeleteThey look great with their red / white plumes. There is a good ‘what if’ scenario there :-)
ReplyDeleteThese are great!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Lee - I trust the Coldstream Guards are defending the brewery?

DeleteCheers,

Very nice matey. I assume that the officers had no problem persuading the men to defend the brewery!
