Surrender Notification!
As you may be aware I have been doing a lot of digging into my family ancestry recently and my Cousin sent me this fascinating little document which he found among his late Fathers papers who had been a signalman during WW2.
That’s a nice thing to get. Both the paper and ink have survived surprisingly well. It is important to get these documents out and into the hands of people who know and care, before those generations are gone and the real relevance of the document(s) lost.
An amazing document Bob isn't it, marked as 'Confidential' so I do wonder if my late Uncle should have even had it? But it's safe now and being looked after for preservation. Cheers, Lee.
