The two regiments of Foot featured previously made their way safely to Scotland to take part in the game of Black Powder thanks to Royal Mail Special Delivery! The photo below shows them on the table alongside those already painted by Marcus, and I think they match very well, (mine to the right and Marcus' to the left ).
So I'm now back to WoR for Noel, starting Faction #4 with the men of the Household, lots of armour both mail and plate and a good smattering of Red/Yellow livery. 15mm Peter Pig Miniatures.
This week its on to the Retained men then I have some nice 20mm Spanish siege gunners to paint for Tony ('Foy') and then some Warlord Epic Napoleonic cavalry for Tim which will run into June so keeping nice and busy. Also, another large box of figures has arrived for Old John this week!

More lovely work on these WOTR chaps and your 1745 troops match up nicely!

Many thanks Iain, I'm enjoying being able to paint both periods.

The regiments of foot look splendid in their setting.

units look superb, well done to both , hope Marcus gets flags in time, over some years i did research of Culloden Battle, found members of my clan fought on both sides, Jacobite one was captured and transported to Jamaica , other in British artillery, and was drunk as a skunk on day of battle , lost his commission!! as to my latest parcel, hopefully you will post soon a photo of a certain mounted lady, who will inspire/excites many of my periods armies, cheers and many thanks for all you do for me , Old John
ReplyDeleteNice bit of family history John.
DeleteI wont be able to resist painting her this week :) so she will appear here probably next week to inspire the boys!
